Ebay: Send PDF through postal mail?

Hey, this is an ebay question.

I see people sending digital products, like pdf book or a digital photo through postal mail (sending to an email is not allowed)

So, how do they send a pdf or a digital product through a physical mail? I don't understand, can anyone clear it up for me please?

    Copy the digital file to a CD. You can still email the file while the buyer waits for the CD.
