Hi guys I was looking for some advise.

I'm looking to sell kitchen appliances like coffee makers on Amazon. However I am only starting out so I can't afford the 1000 pieces minimum order to get them to private label it.

Any advise on getting an item private labelled? Would the logo on the packaging and then a card inside be enough for something like a coffee maker?

Anyone with any experience of this that can give me any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Sav

I wouldn't recommend starting out with something like a coffee maker.

Unless, that is, you have direct access to a high quality supplier with an excellent track-record of quality control that you are confident about. I nearly always advise those who are new within ASM to steer clear of electrical goods, at least in the first instance.

Also, for electrical goods you must ensure that you comply with all the relevant laws for each country sold in. It's your responsibility as the brand owner, as well as the manufacturer, when it comes to retail.

If you are going to proceed then customised packaging that reflects your own label (again, along with complying with retail law on packaging information) is essential. If at all possible you should also have your brand on the product itself.

    Good luck with your venture.

To add to this, if its not UL listed I wouldn't even bother. What will happen is someone will have a fire start and your brand will be the first thing the attorneys jump on...

Most people are name brand loyal as far as coffee makers go. Try something nondescript like silicone kitchenware/utensils which is hot right now.
