    I don't. For two reasons.

First my ecommerce business generates 6 figures a month without any google SEO at all. None.

I'm not that unusual amongst serious ecommerce business owners. I mention it not because I am some sort of genius (i'm not) but to inform others seeking to follow that SEO and ecommerce are often unrelated bedfellows brought together mostly by those selling SEO services that have no real idea about what works for ecommerce.

Secondly, traffic that does land on you ecommerce business (amazon and/or shopify store) that has been gained through the long hard expensive road of google SEO is most often not the type of traffic that is useful. In the main it is information seeking traffic and not buying traffic (the evidence of this is everywhere for those of us who track conversion rates carefully).

My advice to any budding ecommerce business owner is think very carefully before being sucked into the world of SEO. It can be long, difficult, expensive and then only gain you traffic that is very poor at converting.

What does work for ecommerce is advertising (desktop and mobile). Paying for traffic. Amazon paid advertising. Facebook ads. Instagram ads. Etc. Of all the paid traffic sources google adwords is the least effective for many of us.

The only 'SEO' required by many succesfull ecommerce businesses is that associated with the amazon search engine.

    Good luck with your venture.

Still, if you decide to differentiate, provide information content around your niche to drive you more traffic and then be able to sell them something I suggest you watch this video:

SEO does not have to be that hard. Just most people complicate it by trying to sell you shit.

Anyway, there is also a lot of sense in the comment above but if you decide to take up SEO its not that hard as many people think and that 45 minute video will explain everything that you need to know. Hope this helps.

      Best luck,

Your website must be mobile friendly.

Here below I shared some points that helpful for eCommerce website's SEO work.

Before starting work, you need to do research the keywords, that suitable for your eCommerce site. You can research the keywords and also research the competitors.

Choose the keyword for home page & product page. After that, you can create a list of your competitor's keywords that they used for SEO strategy. You can use free Moz toolbar for checking where your competitors getting links.

Check your website speed, if slow then you can improve it and check website's error & improve it like CSS error, script error, images error etc.
Now you can optimize your website's ON Page. It is necessary before starting the Off page activities. In on page, you can do work like keyword optimization, internal linking, usability, site structure, rich snippets.

After this process you can start off page work like local listing, link building, added content on the blog, focus on social media, getting links from high DA sites, discussion sites etc.
