How to ship product directly from China to Azon FBA US?

Hello, I'm currently selling with Amazon FBA in Europe (where I live). The current process is : order from supplier in China. Ships to my place in Europe (by air, typically a couple of boxes). On delivery (DHL or fedex) I give the guy a check (duties). From there I dispatch it to an Amazon depot in Europe.

Now I want to get started in the US. Following the same process (from China, to my place, to the US), is not an option. So I will have to tell my supplier to send it directly to an Amazon warehouse in the US. So I would prepare the shipping (for example with DHL) from my supplier to Amazon. But how do I handle the payment of the duties? The same issue arises if you're in the US and you get your product shipped directly to Amazon.

Notice that I'm talking about a couple of boxes a time by air, and not pallets of product.

Thank you

There are some Chinese websites that have UK and US warehouses like geekbuying. You get the items in 1-3 days if you buy a decent quantity with DHL(in EU at least) and you do not pay other taxes. The problem is they do not have a constant stock, some items come and go. Also the items might be a few dollars more expensive than buying from China but in most of the cases it is worth it: no custom taxes and super fast.
