I just recently came across Shopify and I want to know if the traffic is big as eBay?

    Right, Shopify is better as it helps you to build your own brand. Shopify is an actual store/shop and it is also SEO friendly.

    Shopify is not at all comparable to Ebay.

    Ebay is a massive auction based marketplace, where people can list things for sale and purchase from other members in an online auction.

    Shopify is a hosted shopping cart service that provides you with everything you need to setup your own online store.

    They are not at all similar in what they provide.

    Ebay is also a much larger business, they do about $8.5 billion per year, while shopify does about $200 million per year in revenue.

      You can success on both- all depends on the scale you do business in the long run both of them are neither feature rich nor cost effective. For some time you can bear this inconvenience but if yu want to be in top 10 both of them might be not enough.

    I recently watches Shopify webinar and from that i think it's amazing place to build up your online store. Don't know how it goes with drop shipping but will research!

    I never looked into Shopify to be honest, my Ebay E-commerce business has been running smoothly for over a year now. I see a lot of people getting 'Shiny object syndrome', i.e. they see something new and go after it, so they never master anything.

    Theres tones of things out there, if you just find one thing and focus purely on it, youll do well.
    Ebay is my 'one thing' and I'm now doing in excess of 100 sales per day.

    it is still not as popular as ebay and sites won't get similar traffic - you basically are going to start with a blank canvas and will need to generate traffic and awareness yourself. But the platform gives you plenty of apps useful when running a sleek shop

    It is a great store. You can get tons of sales with simple facebook marketing. You do not need high skills to start . It is SEO optimized and also easy to use.
