When drop shipping from someone on Alibaba do i just contact the supplier and hook up the gateway payment to them so that I can make my cut of the money to as they do? And when putting up their products up for sale will they have to know?

You do not hook anything. You collect the payment from the buyer and then pay for the product yourself to the supplier. You decide the cut.

You don't have to tell anyone when you list the products, most likely many sellers offer that product what are you gonna do inform everyone on Ebay, Amazon, AliExpress?

So basically when someone buys a product, I buy it from the supplier and have it shipped out to the customer? Or do I buy the products wholesale so i get a deal and then ship out the amount the customer needs?

Also beware of the shipping time. If it takes more than the standard shipping times, you may lose customers. I know Aliexpress takes ages for products to arrive.

  • You don't need to get in contact with suppliers. You need to find and list the companies that will deliver the product in lesser time as they control the packing and shipping/handling experience. For some reason if they pack and item improperly or take too long to ship against it was promised, the customer will blame you, not the drop-shipper. Bad service from a drop-shipper can definitely affect your customer satisfaction and your ratings in negative. Select suppliers and wisely. Good luck

Do you say that there are some sort of fulfillment companies in China? Like after ordering I sent the address of the logistic company and they ship the item to my clients?
