I'm new to Big Commerce so please pardon the question but I need some clarity on a malfunction of the cart system.

An example of the malfuntion can be found here: Christian Strong Heavy Cotton T-Shirt | Tough As Nails. When one clicks on the color button, the quantity inexplicably changes from 1 to 30! People are dropping off in droves as one might expect. What could be happening here and where to I look for the malfunctioning piece of code?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Although it's been awhile since I looked at the admin panel of a BigCommerce store, there has to be a setting in there related to the options that is causing that to happen - some sort of quantity pricing thing. It doesn't matter whether you choose a color or a size, they both trigger that jump to 30 thing. Have you called BC support? They can usually spot the problem immediately. If not, they will at least open a support ticket and fix the issue, but that is definitely an odd one that I never experienced with any of the stores that we used to have on BigCommerce.

      Thanks, Dave.

I've been told by another that BC support will likely kick the can and tell me that I need to hire a developer but then I haven't actually tried to contact them. I should never assume. I'll give BC support a shout and see what happens.

Thanks for giving it a look. It's appreciated!

There are definitely times when that will happen - especially if it has anything to do with design issues. This is definitely a cart functionality issue and they should absolutely help you with that. If the first person tries to blow you off (which I doubt) ask for a manager.
