How much money do you need to start an online store

Hello,

How much money do you need in order to make an online store.And buy traffic what would a good buget will be.Also do you need to buy an inventory at the start or do you just say you have it and it will take 3-4 days for shipping.

    As Chris said we need some more info if you can. But there are some online store businesses that require an investment and some that don't. For an example of one that is free you could use Zazzle.com and if you have been online for a while and have collected royalty free stock photos you could upload the graphics or artwork on Zazzle to an iPhone or smartphone case or a coffee mug with a quote on it or similar. If you don't have graphics you can use then you would have to go to royalty free stock photo sites and add them to your smartphone cases and then launch your smartphone case store for free. They also let you sell all kinds of things that you can customize with your graphics and sell online. This is just one option I am aware of there are many others and some are free to start you just have to find one that suites your needs.

    If you are drop shipping, you could literally get away with as little as $20/month. Because you do not pay for Google or Bing ads until after the fact (usually monthly), if you have effective ads, they don't really cost you anything out of pocket because they should be generating sales that you use to pay the bill, which comes later. Like others have said, it all depends on your products, profits and business model.

    As other warriors said it depends on the product you're planning to sell.I have some experience of selling clothing products through Amazon and my initial investment was around $700 ( Reason because I found a perfect deal with my supplier if I buy in bulk).Anyways, don't just go for a random product but search it up extensively.You can check out Amazon price tracker, Amazon price history charts, price watches, and price drop alerts. | camelcamelcamel.com to find product ranks in the market and then opt for the one which suites your capital.

      I have taught many people who have started with a lot less money for inventory than your $700 and they have done well.

      Starting so small is a slow process and you must be able to reinvest the profits to buy more inventory, but with the very high margins you can get by buying direct from real manufacturers in China and other countries that is easier than many might think.

      Warriors have posted about selling for 5 X their landed cost, and that leaves them with money to reinvest and grow.

      Where will you be getting your supplements? Will you buy a name brand in bulk at wholesale and mark them up? Will you buy them in bulk from a company in India or China who will private label them as your own brand? If either, will you be shipping them yourself or paying a fulfillment center to do it for you? If neither, have you found a supplier who will dropship them for you so that you do not have to invest money in inventory or the time/expense in shipping them, yourself?

          I do not understand your question. You still have not answered whether you will be selling under a private label and whether or not your wholesaler will dropship them or if you need to buy in bulk and carry inventory.
