How can I increase sales to my store?

Good morning. Currently I run an online store along with social media pages, especially instagram and I'm wondering how i could increase my sales.

Right now I am running on Shopify and the store has been opened for maybe a month and a half to two months. Iv created a total of 10 sales, (physical products that I ship out) for nearly $200. Doesn't seem like much, but they are random sales from my Instagram following by placing my link in my bio.

My business consists of T-shirts, hats, stickers. I live in Florida so I created a lifestyle clothing company that has everything to do with the state of Florida. I mainly post fishing pictures, surfing, anything with the lifestyle of FL and its getting me ton of traffic. But I feel like I'm missing that extra piece that can generate more sales....

Iv been interacting with a lot of locals as well, friends and family around my area but I want to branch out to the entire state.

If anybody can lead me into the right direction that would be awesome.

    I don't know what is your budget, but the way I see it, you need to invest in marketing. Ads placement, PPC, SEO.

    you should have long and short term strategy. I personally like adwords and ad bings for short term, and SEO for the long term. balancing those two would help you maintain a successful business

      As far as social media campaigns, should I run an ad promoting a certain product? Or something like placing my logo as the ad and telling people to follow.

    There are two ways to increase sales. Either you need more traffic or you need to convert the traffic you already get at a higher rate. Increasing conversions is normally easier to do than increasing traffic so the first thing you should do is try increasing conversions. There are scads of articles online about increasing conversions rates, so definitely pick up as many ideas as you can from them. When you've maxed out your conversion rate, start looking at other platforms where you can get the word out about your website.

    If you don't use FB ads, you are missing out a lot. Join some Shopify FB groups and get insights from others.

    Good products don't sell itself. You need to introduce it to others via advertisements, SEO, and social media marketing. But first, the basic thing is to improve your e-Commerce website in terms of loading time, image optimization, content optimization and improving other on-page factors.

    I think you should start up a side blog to promote your merchandise. Apart from that you can contact Facebook page admins that have huge following to promote your stuff in exchange for some money. Other than that , rely on visual content marketing as compare to text base content because it has the tendency to attract many potential clients. Make up a short high quality video showing the beach culture of Florida in contrast with your product theme. Combine it with some exciting teenage soundtracks so that you could hit the potential millennials out there.

    Have you tried Facebook ads? It is a paid service by Facebook which will spread your advertisements and information about online business like fire in the jungle. I have been profited a lot by taking this service.

    Hello,

    I can see the light in your getting dull. Don't drop it. It is very simple, you have the potential to start a business and launch it over a shopping cart.

    I would suggest you to try to target people globally rather going only for the local lads. This would definitely increase your sales as well as your store popularity more. You can also figure out the best option of doing marketing is "word of mouth" - Because if you take all the leading online shots FB, Twitter or Whatsapp , did they marketed their website before they get the global attention ? It was started for a group of friends. Have you heard about Flipkart ? It started 9 years ago to do business in a particular state but now they are all over the country (India). Now they started doing marketing all over the media to grab attention and make more profit.

    It doesn't mean that you have to go to everyone and talk to them about your website , What you could simply do with affordable cost and time is talk to your friends about this and make your site look more appealing to the global market.

    You would really be surprised after doing this your result for the sales will really be a remarkable one for you. Trying out new things is good but stick to our basics in hard time is great method for clinching success.

    This may be a little off-topic, as this may not be what you were looking for -- have you tried partnering with local travel agencies or tourist destinations? If you sell novelty items that has to do with Florida, then your market may include tourists... Just a thought.

    So, maybe these travel agencies can put a backlink to your shopify store as well. Even better, they may write a feature article or blog post about your store. This is great for online visibility and SEO.

    For increasing seals, You need to promotes your product in informative way with the product image also. Make ads on those products and spread it via social media platform like Facebook, G+, Link din etc.Or make a video on your product and spread it on via you tube. It may help to increase your product sell.

    Iv now reached 6K followers on Instagram, getting lots of engagement. I haven't started any other advertising or even blog posting yet.

    Im averaging about a sale or 2 of $30 or more every few days... right from instagram.

    First, let me say that I like you idea of using the Florida lifestyle as brand image, that's a brilliant idea. However, I visited your website and found it a bit lacking.

    A core concept of marketing is communicating a message that resonates with your audience. I found no clear headline, and generally no marketing messages whatsoever. For the most part, it is just a picture and a price. While a picture and a price are absolute essential elements, you may be able to do better by trying to communicate a little bit with your audience.

    To start, try adding a headline that makes a clear and bold statement. Add a brief description of the products and include something specific about each that your audience may find appealing. With just a little bit of effort you could possibly double your conversion rates.

    I also found your product offerings a bit sparse. You seem to promoting that single logo, rather than a theme of Florida lifestyle designs. You don't need to have a huge range of products, but maybe at least a few designs to choose from would help to improve conversions as well as average order size.

    I noticed that you have Google Analytics installed, that's great. I recommend that you set up content experiments to perform A/B split testing on any changes you make to your website to insure that the changes are improving performance, and not hurting.

    I would focus on getting some of these basic things done before putting more effort into promoting traffic to your website.

    Once your website has some basic marketing messages in place and you have your A/B split tests configured, you may want to tryout paid adverting, however keep in mind that paid advertising is a very competitive channel and it typically takes months, or even years to learn how to effectively compete in a highly competitive niche. You would be wise to get a coach, mentor, or hire an agency to handle it.

    If you want to increase your sales that you need to use the social media platforms. Pinterest, Facebook, and twitter are very famous social media platforms. Create account in these platforms too. There are many users who were able to increase their sales with only twitter and Facebook. But you also need to advertise about you store. The reason you are getting low traffic is because most of the users do not even know that your store exist. You also need to advertise about your website, to gain more traffic. Also optimize your website for the searching engine, to increase your website visibility in the searching engine.

    1. Run a Facebook Campaign: If you want to get some traffic and even make sales, consider running Facebook Ads with the objective of making website conversions.

    2. Use Google Adwords: With Google Adwords you can place your ad in Google search results or in thousands of websites that run Google Adsense. The campaigns can be highly targeted since they are based on the keywords people use in the Google search box and you only get to paid for clicks on your ads (PPC) which makes them cost effective as well.

    3. Start a blog: The purpose from having a blog will be to get more organic traffic from search engines and also more leads from social media.

    4. Start a newsletter and email marketing: When you run PPC campaigns (either Facebook, Bing or Adwords) one of your objectives (besides making a sale) is to get the email address of your potential customers. A high quality blog with interesting content is one of the best ways to do that but also a nicely designed landing page can serve this purpose for people coming to your site from PPC.

    Once you create an email list you can use it as part of your email marketing efforts to either send a newsletter or other content (offers, surveys) to your subscribers. Email lists still convert and you will be surprised of the results.

    First of all you need a website with proper HTML Markup which will support for all browsers and all devices. The markup must be SEO friendly. Then you need to do SEO with an SEO expert. (Keyword research, on-page seo and off page seo) Social media marketing, social media registering, business directory listing and so on.

    If you think you are able to do all this then do it yourself, else hire an expert who can do this for you.

    When I follow certain people massively in a day, I notice I received several orders later on. That seemed to help, but Instagram is doing all of the work. Just not making a crazy amount to where it keeps me busy shipping items out.
