Store Alternative Aside from Ebay?

Hi Everyone,

I want to sell off a bunch of my items and do not want to deal with Ebay. What I'm trying to do is set up a website that has a gallery of items I have for sale. These are one of a kind items so I just want to be able to load them up one at a time.

The other option is to go with something like BigCommerce that allows me to list other Ebay and Amazong products and I can earn a commission form these products.

Which way would you suggest and also what is the option to do it without a Sales Platform like Ebay, Amazon, or Big Commerce?

Can I have these affiliate products loaded onto my website without having one of these big companies like big Commerce or Magenta?

Thanks!

J

You can definitely use Amazon as an easy alternative to eBay. There is no bigger shopping engine. Having your own eCommerce website is another alternative, whether it is on Shopify, BigCommerce, 3DCart or even Word/Woo.

Like eBay, no matter what platform you use, you are going to have your work cut out for you, having to constantly add/remove one of a kind products as they are created and sold.

gumtree.com is also a very useful site. No fees payable and it's completely free.

It's actually not clear whether you got your own items to sell or your only want to sell affiliate products? Also, whether you are wanting to re-direct to affiliate product pages through your link?

You could either load products to an online marketplace like Amazon, Etsy etc. and sell like your own products. It's more like drop shipping and you could fix a price with a profit margin you like. You also get free traffic!

    More market places
    Sears.Com
    Buy.Com
    Newegg.Com
    Etsy.Com
    Pricefalls.Com
    Shoply.Com
    Socexchange.Com
    Ioffer.Com

But if your only intention is to drive visitors to affiliate product pages, better to have your own site. But then you need to think of ways to drive traffic to the site though.

There are also many other ways to sell affiliate products like creating and distribution of content related to your products rather than just uploading products to your site, building an email list etc.
