Hi guys! I'd like to know how are you guys dealing with return & refund with Alidropship plugin?

Is it complicated? Are they cooperating?

Thanks

If you pay for shipping, sure. Usually the Chinese suppliers give you another product, but in 99,99% of the cases this makes no sense for the shipping reason.

The only thing you can basically do is simply refunding the customer. Since I most of the time deal in my domestic market and "neighbor countries" I have it easier, but I also NEVER sent back an item to China.

And how do you deal with backorder item? I just made my FIRST sale today and I tried to command the item, and boom! Backorder. How are you guys dealing with backorder stuff? I mean, we can't check every hour if every of our stock is backorder or not...

What do you mean with backorder exactly?

I made a research and I found that I need to update my product manually. Is everyone doing this like 1 time each day?

If you're using Shopify you can use this addon: https://apps.shopify.com/ali
I believe one of it's functions is keeping your shop updated to show the current inventory
"Know that your inventory and prices are always up to date." - Quoted from the link above

Alternatively if the item is on backorder, you can always email the customer and give him choices:
          1. Ask if he wants a refund
          2. Ask if he is willing to wait (can offer an incentive like 5% off for inconvenience)
          3. Or come up with other solutions like offering a different/similar item

Meanwhile I searched on the net and found that we must update our products manually. I'll edit my answer if it's not the right one (Ii'm still looking for another option...can't believe it's not automatic.)

Nice options! Thanks. For the second, have you ever seen an item coming back?

Take into consideration though that especially if you use PayPal you have to be extremely careful. Better one refund too much than risking a buyer protection case without being able to give a tracking number.

It might sounds stupid but, can you explain more what you said? I'm not sure if I understood well. Thanks!

PayPal is quite buyer unfriendly. If customers open too many cases, often it doesn't even count if you win them or not, your account will be flagged. At some point, you risk a limitation.

They limited my account two times, once with around 6,000 and once with 14,000 on it. Completely legal and legit business.

What happen when it's limited? Can you open it again so you can take all the money inside?

You usually have to wait 180 days until you can withdraw the money, during this time you cannot send any money as well. Had to do this with both accounts (so had to wait 1 year in total for 20,000). Needless to say that you are not allowed to open an additional account as well.

I know someone @ PayPal and got to open a new one, but this is an absolute exception.

I use PayPal again But I make sure that everything works 100% properly, give all my tracking codes immediately and in general do what I can to keep things satisfactory for them. But I also use credit card, bank deposit, Amazon Payments and sometimes Skrill.
