Hey guys,

I'm kind of new to the affiliate marketing world and I had some questions about drop shipping..

I'm setting up a shopify store and selected some products on aliexpress that I'd like to sell, but I have this one big problem.

All the items I want have an expected delivery time of over 1 month..

There is no way on earth someone would wait 1 month to get their products, what should I do? I tried contacting the seller but he's not answering..

Usually, do they really take that long to deliver or is it only a "worst-case scenario" delivery time? And if they do take that long how do you manage the orders?

Thanks!

There are many people that are doing this, and doing it well! For example, on BHW, one guy built a harry potter site that runs off of aliexpress, and makes good $$$ doing it. Also, some suppliers have the option for faster shipping. IF you don't have the capital, you will have to put disclaimers letting customers know delivery can take 2-4 weeks etc.

If you have the capital, do some tests to find which products DO sell, then bulk order them to increase shipping times. Or use a service like ship n grow.

    Best of luck!

Yes you can no doubt make a lot of money by stealing someone's Intellectual Property (IP) and illegally selling counterfeits and knockoffs of products that they have worked hard to give value to, but others have done nothing but to steal.

Businesses operating on that illegal basis come and go, very often being shut down once the IP owner becomes aware of it.

Recent and current court cases have resulted in hundreds of unethical people losing their businesses overnight. That is usually the first step towards litigation that can bankrupt the operator of the illegal business.

I know many of them operate in countries where IP rights are ignored, and they think that as a result they can get away with it forever. Some do, but they are still taking a risk.

Or, you could try sourcing products from the actual manufacturer or a distributor instead of some cheap Chinese knock-off middleman and get much faster shipping.

If you start selling a lot of a particular product, you can stock them. But, it is very typical of sellers on Ali to take over a month to get an item to a customer. For products that cost under $40, the customer seems to be ok as long as shipping is free. Make sure to put the shipping info in your site under TOS and Shipping Policy. Make sure to consider your refund policy. Keep in mind also maybe some orders will get lost in the mail and then you have to either resend or refund!
