Hi Warriors ,

When there are many platforms to create websites without writing a single line of code, why do people want to become web developers?

I am very new to web development. I have learnt Django (A Python web framework) and built couple of apps with it. Recently i saw that there are many platforms to create websites without even writing a single line of code. I am confused. What those platforms cant do that developers can?

Are those really worthy to choose and what's so guaranteed success rate till date?

Thanks.

Every platform has its limitations. I've never seen one that did everything I really wanted it to do. Being a web developer affords you the flexibility to design precisely what you want and not have to make concessions when an out of the box platform doesn't do quite what you want it to do. It also enables you to tweak existing platforms to make them serve your purposes.

Thats it. While platforms like Shopify fulfill most basic needs most sellers have, many businesses experience limitations quite early. Thats a reason why most big retailers and shops still use highly customized systems.

you don't need to be developer, however you need to know some main stuff about web developments.
You can always hire developers, JV with them... many ways...Focus more on what you good at.
As they say know from everything one thing, and from one thing everything.

I am a web developer for the past 3 years.

Yes, it is helping my greatly that I don't need to sweat over technical stuff, and I can do whatever I want with whatever I work with.

No, nowadays you could do well without learning web development yourself or hiring a developer if you're willing to compromise on some design issues or features.

Honestly, I would rather have 3 years of marketing experience over 3 years of web development. It somewhat feels like it was a waste of time now.

For develop a simple website you don't need to be a web developer.
But if you want a unique layout website you need to be a web developer or hire some professional web developer.
    For example:
If you want to buy a ready made shirt from market it's never will be in unique style until you make an order with your own style and you or some one sew it for you
