We tell everyone in our course to start with Google Shopping ads and Bing Shopping ads. People who see those are actively looking for your products. NOBODY using facebook is there because they are looking to buy something. That is why conversion rates are generally horrible from Facebook ads. We use Facebook remarketing only for people who have already visited our sites since they have already shown a desire for our products!

Maybe your landing page isn't optimized well for U.S. visitors. Americans are a little less forgiving when it comes to proper grammar. Many also do not order if they suspect the company is not American or if things ship from overseas.

I agree. Personally I use(d) both and like both, but depending on your product Google is the way to go. Facebook is good for products your customer might not know yet or "impulse" buying decisions. But nobody impulsively buys a boring or too common product. Facebook is awesome for branding and leveraging your ad budget through sharing, social proof and thelike.

Don't do something because you know someone who does it successfully. I can also tell you about people selling millions a month through Google or Instagram. I know people making millions through Pinterest. So don't go this route, think about the audience you are targeting and where they are most likely located at and what would be the best place to get in touch with them.

I also made a video about AdWords VS. Facebook, maybe it clearifies it a little bit more for you:

There can be multiple reasons for not converting very well. One important is the target audience, I am sure you have done this correctly as you took some courses in Udemy.

You might wanna try a different approach if it is expensive, for example, instead of boosting product on Facebook, create a video about the product and boost it.
