Dropshipper from the UK starting out a site selling to US audience

by smintoss 0 replies
Hi everyone,

I'm a UK resident starting out my dropshipping venture in the US. I imagine that in order to be accepted by suppliers and legally resell their items I will need at least a US bank account. And to charge US customers in $ I will need this too for shopify payments.

Does anyone have any advice on whether I need to setup an LLC too so that I can register for sales tax licences?

If I do register an LLC can I use the US address of my registered agent to apply for a bank account without going in person?

Assuming I can, which bank would you recommend applying for an account and credit card with - I.e will any banks open an account for me as just an LLC but with no residential status?

Thanks in advance for any help!
