Big commerce and Shopify are best in Hosted, Self Hosted Magento is good.

My Choice would be Magento ..develop product with better options.

shopify is also good choice for you. Weather spree commerce,Magento or shopify, I think you can try them for few days, and then you can compare them with different features to make the final conclusion.

I use cs-cart it has lots of features and its fast also.

Taking you at your word, that you want to create ecommerce, then the best thing you can do is make it as simple and easy as possible. That, usually, means Shopify.
