Just Started My E-Commerce Store, Help

Spent Months Developing the Site.

I'm not gonna share the website here tho to prevent people from thinking I'm advertising it. I am in the audio niche. I've done my keyword research and got good demand based on my research

What I did:

I've built the site with Wordpress and Woo Commerce, Had some SEO Plugins installed namely

All in One SEO Pack
Meta Tags Plugin
Google XML Site Map Plugin

All images had alt text and caption, everything in my power has been done. Note, this is just my very first e-commerce website, in short I'm a noob at this...so please be forgiving if I made a lot of mistakes...

I made a facebook page and promoted my website, for $5 a day. Uploaded a short commercial in youtube.

My problem:

1. I've done every SEO there is, but my website hasn't come out on top of Google, Yahoo, or bing
2. It's the first day tho, not a single one has liked my Facebook page.

Good thing at least, the Youtube video I made has came out on top page.

What else should I do? What should I do better? If some have requested I will share the website...

Thank you!

    Give it some time.

    Keep building out content.

Have you tried some other paid traffic like Google Adwords?

    Are you selling physical products?

Who is your ideal customer and where do they hang out?

You might need to do a bit of investigation as to where the best places are to promote and build your traffic from.

For example Pinterest is great if you are selling a physical product particularly into a female market. LinkedIn is great for B2B.

So if it was an executive type audio product it would suit one medium over another.

Unless you advertise to your ideal target market and send paid traffic to kick things off you will find it takes time to establish any new business.

Remember it is best to lead with content and add value to your prospects first and then followup and ask them to buy.

It helps if you are generating leads and retargeting via Facebook audiences or Google remarketing because you can then set up campaigns both via email and Facebook/Google to move people towards making a purchase or following you on social media or whatever else you want them to do.

Are you capturing leads in any way?

    Best regards,

    Ozi

Well, SEO takes time for expert lol. And if you are not expert then there is no guarantee.
    * Did you create a blog section on your site?
You have to publish content frequently on you blog. And share it every where.
And don't give up. Even you will be not on first page but i hope you will get some organic traffic.

Unless you are in a very easy niche with no competition, it can take months if not years for you to get to the top of the search rankings for targeted keyword phrases. You HAVE TO get backlinks from other sites to your pages - not the easy ones that you can place yourself but real ones where other websites DECIDE to link to your pages.

In my opinion you are doing it wrong.

You are risking a lot by putting all your energy on SEO until you hit first page for your keyword.

What I like to do when I start a store is this:

    1) Pick a niche
    2) Build the store on Shopify
3)Test your products using Facebook ads to see if it has potential
    4)Scale
5)At some point you can think about SEO

    NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND

I agree that is a good approach but only for some niches. In our experience, it is not an approach that works with all stores. This approach works incredibly well for impulse buy stores - especially for ones that have relatively low-priced products (maybe $20-$60, the lower the better). Except for re-targeting ads, we have found Facebook to be a huge money-sink for other types of ads if you are selling expensive products. Maybe your results are different.

If we knew the niche and average product price, we could make a better determination for what might work best for advertising. Sometimes - especially with much higher priced (and much higher profit) products - Google and Bing Shopping are the way to go.

I agree that it is not worth wasting the time on a whole lot of SEO until you have tested the market with some sort of advertising, though.

    Hey

You should try designing creative wallpapers and sharing them on FB, Twitter, G+, Linkedin and Pinterest with hashtags + Keywords on regular basis. That will surely get you traffic and conversion.

Re. SEO: Try to follow Diversified Links Strategy:

Unique Descriptions for Bookmark and Tier 2 Submissions
    Unique Blogs Writing and Submissions
    Edu Links
    Tier 2 Submissions
    Profile Links
    High DA/TF Blogs Submissions
Tier 2 Submissions of High DA Blogs
Social Media Submissions of High DA Blogs

    SEO Implementation Strategy:
    15% Main Keywords
40-45% LSI (8-10 Types of LSI)
    Rest - Naked URLs/Branded Names
    Drip Feed

    Hope, that helps.

    Good luck,
