I never advocate fully automatic solutions for eCommerce. Quite often, you need to enter comments to customers or suppliers, which can only be done manually. It is also an extremely good idea to review each order individually before placing an order with a supplier because, although it is not the norm, fraud DOES occur and knowing how to evaluate each order for fraud can save you from devastating chargebacks - especially if you are in a niche that is prone to fraud.

It takes so very little time to process an order, check to see if it looks legit, forward the order to a supplier and append tracking information when you receive it, it has never seemed like the small amount of time saved in automatic processing outweighed the potential downfalls referenced above. Of course, if you only make a few dollars per order, that may change things.

The other problem with the scenario you describe is that you will have exactly the same pictures and product descriptions as dozens, if not hundreds of other websites, making it extremely difficult to rank for those individual products. That may or may not be a concern of yours.

You are probably confusing Aliexpress with Alibaba. You will find very few advertisers on Alibaba who would be willing to dropship for you.

Those on Aliexpress will do that for you, but you should search the forum for comments on the subject of dropshipping from Aliexpress. Try to ignore the glowing success stories posted by those who want to sell you a course on how they made a fortune doing it and if you pay them they will teach you how.

@dave_hermansen is right about the fact that you will be joining a very crowded market place without anything to distinguish you from the thousands of competitors selling exactly the same products using exactly the same photographs and descriptions.

You are in a unique position to make far more money by carrying small inventories of products that you know people want, because you see them and talk to them. You can buy direct from the manufacturers at prices that will give you huge profit margins.

You won't have customers complaining about long shipping times, and you won't have to risk buying from suppliers who couldn't care less about you or your customers.
