How many products do you need to have on your dropship store?

    This is entirely dependent on the niche. I have seen websites with one product do very well when it is really the only product out there that serves a need. Other stores might need hundreds, thousands or more.

    It really comes down to what the searcher expects to see when they hit your site from the search engines. If you are selling beads for bracelets, they likely expect to see a very large selection. If you are selling barbecue grill covers, they probably do not expect to see a very wide selection.

    All that said, you have to start somewhere and it usually starts with one supplier/brand and sometimes only a handful of products. Once you have one supplier, it is easier to get others. There is always a fear of being left out when they see their competitors products on your site but theirs are not there.

    I really depends of your marketing.

    As Dave said, you could only have one product and make a killing, whereas someone could get 5000 products and make zero.

    In the end your website should inspire trust. If people trust your website, then sales will follow if you know what you are doing.
