Is it better to find a niche that you are unsure about or to sell in a market with weak competition.

I'm new to eCommerce and I want to start my first online eCommerce business over Amazon and eBay. I will start with one product that I will import from China and sell on Amazon or eBay. I have found a few good items that I could import but they all are already listed on Amazon and eBay. I know that I can buy the product for pennies on the dollar for what they are being sold for, so I could out-price the competion but I fear that this will lead to a price war that ends in zero profit.

On the other hand I found a few products with zero competition, but I'm not sure if they would actually sell.

Let me know your opinion on the matter

Chances are, if there is zero competition, there is a good reason for that - no demand. What do the search numbers tell you? How many people per day are searching for those zero competition products?

Hi i will advice you not to run for markets with no competition, better to go though those one with high competition, and make sure what you are promoting is good you will make profits don't worry!
