Hi guys. I have a basic question. Please help.

How traditional retailers find wholesalers?

I am open retail account with wholesaler for my online business but the thing is I am not being able to find that much good wholesaler. I am searching on google.

But a a traditional retailer will not search it on google. So how they find their wholesalers? I will just follow their route to find some wholesaler I can work with for my online wholesale business on amazon or ebay.

Thank you.

Try networking with other retailers from your niche. ... the best answers here usually will be offline (most small retailers can't care less about internet)

.. local chambers of commerce would be my #1 to get started at

That my friend is the very reason why networking in a business is very essential. Try to connect with people who are into that. They should be able to point you into the right direction.

There are wholselers for most products and there are niche ones for more specialist products. You are looking for the ones that most people cant find. Most goods wholesellers would sell gloves, but if you are looking for heavy duty garage grade gloves, you need to find a great conection. That will be your secret. You need to sell popular products as well to attract people to your website but you need unique selling points as well

There are trade groups that aggregate this for you.

For example, check out "Independent Retailer".

Wholesalers need to get in front of retailers too.

So many of them aggregate with various organizations to make themselves discoverable.

Start calling Brands. They will direct you to wholesale agents that can sell you their products. You want to sell Samsung TV's call Samsung... Its not that hard.

Almost every page has a url, as you go through it, open up pages to see what else is offered. Let Search Engines do your work.

Most traditional retailers have BUYERS, their jobs are to locate products and the wholesalers or mfgrs who have them.
