Need help with affiliate marketing "shopping mall"

The site is ecofriendlyhomeproducts.com

For September, Google Analytics says the site had 187 unique visitors, 202 visits, and 78 non-bounce visits from 74 non-bounce visitors. And no sales.

I made a landing page at welcome.ecofriendlyhomeproducts.com (which went live in August) and have bought Facebook ads to send traffic to it. I could have sworn that I set up Analytics for it, but I must not have. I find no report. But among the two sites on the domain and the Facebook ads, I have fewer than 20 subscribers.

Before I spend money driving more traffic, I'd like to get as much advice as I can as to what's wrong.

BTW, I dislike the clunky $70 theme. I had to pay someone to be able to add prose to the front page, and it's down at the bottom where probably no one notices.

Once you point out problems and I get them fixed, what would it be best to spend money on: ads, an SEO company, or both?

Hoping to get lots of replies! TYVM

It looks ok. I'd change the logo though. And I do t like the pop up for an econmerce site.

As far as marketing: hit the forums HARD. One you've got a following your sales should be essentially on autopilot. And once you get a few sales try an affiliate program for past customers.

I like this strategy..... though affiliate programs may sometime make you struggled but it's good.

Thanks. And what about the landing page (welcome.ecofriendlyhomeproducts.com) and the Facebook page?

I capture the pictures directly from my vendors' page. I use their product description, too. Sometimes I have to edit them for readability.

All is well if the vendor has good quality pictures and/or reasonably informative product descriptions. If they don't, what are my options?

Thanks for mentioning it. I have been asking myself those questions for quite a while, and you have reminded me to ask them here.

every time I go to a new page that stupid opt-in pops up, put it on your sidebar and maybe as an exit popup, but after 3 times, I left

I like your site. Simple, easy to navigate. Agree with earlier post, you need sharper pictures. Try breaking down the descriptions as well. Perhaps a little bigger fonts. If you can get some reviews, that might help too.

People would want to read about the products besides looking at the pictures and checking the prices. Help them out.

For the landing page, I don't think you need such a big logo there. For the headline, you can make it more exciting. Put emphasis on the words "save money". If I were you I would go like - Save Money (in big red letters), while saving the planet (in next line), we will show you 12 ways, some will cost you nothing and rest will pay you back (in the next line)- something like that. Not a copywriter, so take my suggestions with a grain of salt.

I am not a big fan of that picture. I don't like blinking arrows either. And that download now button is just misleading, you should remove that.

These are my opinion only, take it for what it's worth. All the best with your project.

About reviews: Do you mean put whatever reviews I can find or write on the same page with the product? Sometimes vendors will have customer reviews on their own site. So I copy these reviews and put them under the vendor's product description?

I'm not sure I understand the part about people wanting to read about products. I have a product description, copied from the vendors' own, for every product. I already put my questions about that in a reply to someone else's post.

Thanks for these comments and for looking at the landing page. I don't like the flashing arrow, either. It's been a while since I looked at it, but it was the only one of 10 Optimize templates that allowed a combination of two other things I wanted to do. I can't remember just what right now.

Keep the comments coming, folks. They're very helpful.

It would be best if you could make the buyers leave reviews on your site. That is somewhat challenging. If you want to copy reviews from somewhere else, ask that site owner if they are cool with it.

Another solution is you come up with your own. Check out reviews from reliable sources and tell your visitors what the general consensus is about the product. Almost like what a review site would do. The more information you can give your visitor, the less reason you give them to leave your site.

When I said that people want to read about the products, I was thinking about the research phase. They will have questions in their mind that need to be answered before they can make a decision. They would like to know more about the product, product description doesn't always do the trick.

You can educate them, create a guide or something. I was looking at the air purifier on your site (random pick). Then I was looking for more info on air purifier in general. Here is a sample I found on Youtube. It will give you some idea about what type of info I am talking about-

I typed "Air Purifier" on Yahoo answers and it gave some idea about the type of questions people ask before making a decision.

I don't think I ever bought a product based on product description alone. But based on customer reviews I did. If nothing else, try to find a way to get some genuine reviews.

    All the best
