I'm using opencart platform. does anyone know how to integrate custom payment gateway to it? I mean that when customers finally click on a button "pay" they should be redirected to the secure payment gateway site (My bank provided for me) to enter their payment details and then returned back to my store's success page. please help me, if you know solution.

An option to consider is Braintree, which is an an online payments provider that can provide everything you need to accept online or mobile payments, including a payment gateway, merchant account, and recurring billing. We have recently expanded to Europe and Canada (you did not mention where you are located but I am assuming you are in US). We also allow merchants to settle in 130 different currencies. Check out our payment API or play in our sandbox. Disclaimer: I work at Braintree

The easiest way to integrate a new payment gateway is to take a look at a current OpenCart payment gateway that works in a similar way. The PayPal pro extension comes free with OpenCart, and while you will need to customize it to your needs, it serves as a good base for your gateway.

all they are saying best payment option i suggest you is paypal payment standardpaypal payment standard which is already there in the payment option in the opencart. it is free and all they charges is the transaction fees. and It is the easiest method to implement accepting credit card payments on an online store. For merchants, a simple bank account and a PayPal account is enough to take payments. There are no monthly fees or setup costs charged by PayPal. The only cost is a fixed small percentage taken by PayPal for each transaction. So, you should consider this on price valuations of items in the store.
      PayPal Website Payment Pro
This is the paid PayPal solution for an online store as a payment gateway and merchant account. The biggest difference from PayPal Website Payment Standard is that customers do not leave the website for credit card processing. The credit card information is completely processed in the online store as it is the popular method of all established e-commerce websites. Even the customers will not know about the processor of the cards. Unless we put a PayPal logo ourselves, this information is well encapsulated.

my suggestion go for paypal standard and in the later suggestion you can go for the paypal website payment pro. do reply me for any help if you want. thanks

OpenCart comes with a limited amount of payment gateways that can be used, if you don't see it on the list under Extensions > Payments then you will need to find a mod to install so you can use whatever payment gateway your bank is providing you with.

A payment gateway also requires a merchant account, for example with Authorize.net you need to have a payment gateway setup, then apply for a merchant account so you can accept the payments directly on your website.

For now you could always enable Paypal Web Payments Standard which is free, but it redirects them to Paypal to checkout and pay, which can kill conversion rates.

You can find the listing of payment gateway for open cart by going to extensions - then payments. If the payment gateway you want to utilize is not listed then you might want to look for third party developers who can develop it for you or your bank should provide you with that information.
