I use 3Dcart for my ecommerce site OliviasPetSupply.com. I have the $99 per month plan. It's a good service but I think they have too many upsells on the backend that should be included with the price.

In the beginning I used Monster Commerce, which is now Network Solutions this is a great cart with tons of features. I also used 3dcart which is also a great cart that is really user friendly with a ton of features.

If you want a cart that has more functionality and want to spend a few extra dollars for someone to do it for you, Magento and X-Cart are top of the line, but they are not easy.

I use NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO- website tonight and the NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO- shopping cart for my store which sells currency ie Iraqi Dinar and Vietnam Dong. I'm not thrilled with it, could look more professional, could have more functionality and customization however I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to designing sites and I've found it's fairly easy to use and works with Paypal so I'm using it for now. My site is buyiraqidinarhere.com if you wanna take a look at it just to see what it is. It's pretty basic but does the job I suppose.

Hey Qamar,

My ecommerce site is built fully through Wordpress, and I'll admit it has its ups and downs (it's inexpensive and can be integrated with Paypal, even for recurring payments at no extra cost...but it's still WP which just isn't great). I've had tons of issues with the WP-ecommerce plugin...there are just so many bugs.

But, I've heard great things about Woo-commerce as icyguy suggested, although I am waiting to build up my business and sales revenue before integrating it.

I think Elance is a GREAT resource for finding quality help for your website. I've had the work done almost exclusively through hiring on Elance and it has made life a whole lot easier. Just be sure to read reviews, because people on this site love to say they can complete the task at hand without a problem...but when push comes to shove turns out they lied about their experience. Always hire based on stars, reviews, etc.

Wordpress + WooCommerce is very good. If you want cool desing go to ThemeForest -> Wordpress -> eCommerce category. For sure you will find something of interest for you.

If you need a simple solution, use Open Cart (which is FREE).

Simply post a project on eLance and find a developer who can install, configure and design an Open Cart shop for you.

You don't need a custom design - get a decent template (around $50) and just customize it with your logo and colour scheme.

Hi Zul,

Will you be selling to singapore or to other countries as well? I highly suggest going with an e-commerce web site such as Magento, Prestashop, or open cart. It will really depend on the types of products you are selling, where you are going to advertise and what types of payments you will accept. But whatever you choose, I would go with an open source shopping cart.

If you still need help with an e-commerce web site, let me know I will be more then happy to give you some advice.

Did you find someone to help you with you design needs?

I love to work with WordPress using the WooCommerce System. I have designed many sites using this setup and I hardly ever use any other solutions as WooCommerce and WordPress can be expanded into anything you need using plugins or custom development.
