I have never been in this niche so I might have it totally backwards.

But the first thing I think of is "who orders rings online"? Isn't this typically something you always get in person unless you are buying used/auction? I could be wrong, but this is the first thing I think when I get to your site so others might be the same way.

By "improve trust in your website", do you mean something like SiteLock or an SSL certificate seal etc?

to improve the trust of your website, you need to have a better and secure payment option (for ecommerce sites). You should also have a good customer support to respond effectively to client complaints and queries. Moreover you should have a reliable money refund program for defected items purchased from your website. These all things might help you in increasing the overall trust of your website.

I would suggest getting rid of your developers plug from the home page.
I would make the special offer a seperate page with an image "Special Offer!" linked to it.
I would study the competition: Engagement Rings, Wedding Rings, Diamonds, Charms. Jewelry from Kay Jewelers, your trusted Jewelry Store

I would get rid of the Paypal button.
I didn't notice the "or" until I got over the Paypal button shock.
I wouldn't buy a ring for a dollar using PP.
Put up the PP image with the credit cards on it. People recognize Visa, etc..., only us geeks and Ebayers recognize PP.
The newsletter should say Sign up for Special offers. No one cares about your news

If you have a brick and mortar then I would list the address.
Some reviews from real people would help also.
Perhaps move the BBB notice up above the fold or even in the header.
Perhaps hire someone to design a new header as yours does look a little, well, not high dollar as some of your products are.
I get this on the products pages in IE 8:
    Webpage error details

thank you for ur advice, I just removed the pp express. But people have used it, in the past, it just saves them time from registration. But I will take ur advice and I will remove it for now. I have no idea what those errors ur getting are, it can be something wrong with ur explorer, because its the first time im hearing of it, and i have used 6 different computer without a problem.
I do need to hire someone to make us a nice header, that's the final thing I need to do... I have study the competition, my best advantage again my competition is I beat them in price, since we cut the middle men, and our working on low profits. So price is my biggest advantage , my biggest disadvantage is having consumer trust.

Our store address is on the bottom, I just wrote it on the first line..

also what developer plug are u talking about, I don't see it

I believe the errors are from the image mouse overs on the product page. Not a big worry but something to take a look at. It is fine in FF and Chrome.

Your developer has their name and link on your HP. Probably ok for the inner pages but I wouldn't have it on the HP.

You have some good reviews, I would use them in a prominent area.
Nothing builds trust like other people.

Things are looking much better already!

The things you are likely to carry an extremely low conversion rate anyway. People would really like to see and handle expensive jewelry in person before they buy. The pictures does like give that much clue to the actual brilliance of the diamonds. The chances are that many prospective customers who saw the items on your site will visit your shop before they buy.

I would do everything to make your business look like a legitimate business as possible. This includes photos of your shop and staff at work, and also a detailed history of your operation.

    1. Check search results in Google with keywords "opinion" + "shop name"
    2. Add the ratings of satisfied costumers
    3. Add full details about your company
    4. When you send a package with order add to your business card.
    5. If your store has a stationary base - show it. Photos and a few words of description is an additional element of proving the reliability of the store.

Well first of all, dont hyperlink an entire sentence to your site. Hyperlink a keyword. Are you asking about how to improve your site related to SEO? What exactly.

Have you considered offering some sort of gift to entice your website visitors to signup for your mailing list?

Once they're on your list, you can then start building a relationship with your prospective customers by sending them emails telling stories about people who have purchased jewelry from you in the past and how much the enjoy it.

great idea,, what kind of gift do you recommend? It sounds like a great idea, but at the same time, it can become very expensive.
