I am in the process of updating a new ecommerce site from scratch. I had currently setup the initial site using one drop shipper. I am very new and hope that this new website and SEP service will help get conversions. I have heard that using multiple drop shippers that carry the same products is a way to not run out of inventory. I am stuck between deciding on finding a niche and asking companies in that niche to dropship or go for the being able to get good products at a low cost and making a profit. I really want to start this new website off correctly. Please advise on what you think is the best method at this point. Thanks in advance.

I just posted this as a reply to another post in the forum... I don't want anything to think I'm spamming but the same advice applies:

To simplify this entire process and find TONS of drop shippers in a short amount of time you should:

    1) google your niche
    2) find retail websites that do not have a physical location (check their about us page)
    3) look for a "brand" or "manufactures" section on their websites

9 out of 10 times these brand/manufacturers will be companies that drop ship.

    Good luck!

In practice, it is possible for you to discuss any return issue with the supplier, and provide returns address to your customer. Then they can post a faulty item back and the supplier can ship the replacement directly to them. Obviously this is the most suitable solution where your customers are in different countries.

You need to find authority ecommerce stores in your niche... stores that have tens of thousands of products.

They usually come up at the top of Google when you search for a popular category or subcategory of your niche (check sponsored results too).

These stores almost always have a "Brands" or "Manufacturers" page on their website to serve as a directory for their customers.

This page will have a list of all of the brands that they sell on their website and are usually all drop shippers.

I typically will start with the manufacturer and work backwards to find the distributor. Sometimes they are the distributor and they will dropship for you.

Another good way is to look for a trade show. Doesn't matter where it is as long as they have a website. Go on the website and find the list of exhibitors at the show and just start looking up their website.

And finally, this is a really easy way. Just order the product from someone you know is dropshipping and do a reverse lookup on the return address.
