Need help setting up an affiliate link website

Hi,

In my region there are plenty of e-commerce websites selling the same products for varying prices. I plan to create a website that displays these products and ranks them from the best price allowing users to go to my website and use it to find the best price for the product and then link to the website selling the product.

I came accross this idea by being a consumer of the product myself and having to always check all these different websites for the best price/deal. There are others I know who do the same thing so I think having a one stop website displaying all the prices could work well.

How I plan to make money of this is setting up an afilliate link where if someone visits my site, searches the product and then clicks the link and buys the product then it shows the supplier where the buyer came from (my website) and I can ask for a percentage of the sale.

I am searching for advice if this is the best way to try make money using this website idea or if I could make money going about other ways?
How do you think the competiting websites will react to my website? I sopose some might not like being 'aired' out as being the most expensive.
Will these websites be keen to pay me by directing customers to them?
