Hi guys,
I'm totally new to websites and marketing. It I want to set up a website re selling printed products - flyers, banners and etc. I need someone who can help me build the site on a tight budget and also help me market it to get the sales I need. I've talked to several companies about this but I get a sense that they will build the site but not be able to help me market it to generate sales to get a return and ultimately a wage from the site. Any advice would be more than welcome. Thanks in advance!

    Hi Andy,

If you build the site yourself you probably need a budget of $~200. This will cover your hosting and domain for 1 year, plus a nice theme/logo for your site. A great platform for beginners (and anyone really) is WooCommerce. (Wordpress installation with WooCommerce plugin and compatible theme.)

It's the same story with marketing. You will need to be prepared to spend some money upfront to begin marketing even if you do it all yourself. I've never sold in this industry but I assume your customers would probably be businesses/organisations. Since you're on a tight budget you might want to begin with something like direct mail marketing. AdWords is a good tool to drive traffic but you will need to spend some time learning how to use it properly.

    Hope that helps!

    Hey Andy.

I can build you an ecommerce site for $100 currently. Hosting is included for a year and some extras are included. If you click on my signature link you will got to my thread for ecommerce sites. I can do marketing as well but that would need to be discussed further.

I agree with Pavv that you can build a site using Woocommerce as if you are willing to learn and have the time to do so. You might want to lay out on paper what you are and are not willing to do so that when you speak with someone they can give you an idea of what they can do for you.

There are some great warriors on the forum that can help you in what you need done and you can find them by looking in the "warrior for hire" section.

Marketing is going to be the cause of success or the cause of failure for your business so you want to really get clear on your goal of what you want accomplished. Having a clear intention will help you in discerning who to hire to get the tasks you need accomplished.

Thanks for stepping out there and starting in the world of internet marketing and let me know if you have any detailed questions and I'll see if I can answer them for you.
