Are there any other good websites to get in contact with manufacturers directly? Doesn't have to be China...

  • It depends a little bit more on what you're asking.

Are you going to manufacture your own product? (As in register a UPC code and everything for a new product you've invented/designed?)

Or are you looking to get a hold of a manufacturer of an existing product of an existing brand?

Is this 'any old product?' Or do you have a product in mind to sell?

If so - how did you come to the conclusion to source this product (don't tell us what the product is - always keep that a secret)

I just want to make sure you're going about this the right way since 'finding products for the sake of finding products' first isn't the best route - there is a way to find IN demand products with MANAGEABLE competition BEFORE you go to manufacturers.

Otherwise, you'll wind up with a garage full of products that sell one-a-month.

I've been teaching people for YEARS, and this is a mistake I made long, long ago--never again!

    So, I'm just making sure.

I am looking to get a hold of manufacturer of an existing product, but I will brand it, put my trademarked log on it and purchase UPC codes myself. I am not necessarily looking to invent anything, just looking to brand an existing product.

Alibaba is probably your best bet. They have manufacturers in all countries.

You can also try Thomas Register ThomasNet® - Product Sourcing and Supplier Discovery Platform if you're looking for US/Canada based manufacturers.
