Search traffic better than paid traffic?

What I find is that search traffic on my site leads to more page views i.e. people browse the site whereas quite often people just exit from the page they have landed on when they come trough paid traffic. Admittedly, I am landing paid traffic on to category pages which I feel is the best way since, if I land paid traffic on product page, it might not be the product they are looking for, and knowing how impatient web surfers are, they could just hit the back button on the browser.

The problem with my niche is that I convert the search quite well but at the same time people don't usually come through a search for particular make, just the type of product they want.

Also, I feel you should use the word 'buy' or 'shop' somewhere in the ad so people will know they are most likely clicking on to a shop. This doesn't apply to all types of stores, however.

You should try out different landing pages for the paid traffic. Maybe the category pages sound good in theory but may not be as appealing to the users who land on those pages. So, try different landing pages and see difference in user behavior.

Paid traffic needs a lot of testing and constant addition/removal of keywords. Split testing is best. Yea, Search Traffic is always best in terms of conversions & Page Views for me

  • Also remember there are different avenues of search traffic as well.

Just think of how many different ways you can target PPC traffic!

If you're going to start, I ALWAYS start with 7search.com because it helps me generate a negative keyword list VERY cheaply that is corollary to other PPC campaigns for just pennies on the dollar.

With adwords, it is easy to spend THOUSANDS of dollars to generate this same list that you can spend just 100 dollars on.

    Hope this helps!

So how do you develop this negative keyword list using 7Search? From what I have heard 7Search traffic converts very little, if any, so how can you utilize build that negative list?

Can you please explain the process.

      Thanks
