Hi.

I was wondering if anybody knew off hand (before I wade thru the 10,000 page amazon terms and conditions) if You're able to offer free shipping to amazon customers for products under $10

I have a backsell product (not exactly an upsell since the product is a lower price as the initial product) that compliments my initial product perfectly and I think it would get alot of sales if I could offer my customers free shipping for a $4.99 product.

Do you know off hand if that Will fly with Amazon on either the basic or pro plan? from what I've read so far...it doesn't seem like it.
category would be "everything else"
I have access to amazon gift cards for customers that's why I'm targeting amazon

Thanks for your knowledge and help.
Dale

Yes. Just look through the multiple products up right now that offer shipping. You can also sign up as an Amazon Premium Member (I don't know the exact wordage) and offer free shipping to prime members as well.

    Thanks elCapitan,

I'll have to read up on becoming a premium member.

It seems free shipping is for the DVD, software category, not "everything else" category

    thanks for the advice

You can set your shipping price to whatever you want, be it free or $5000. They don't care.

However, if you utilize Fulfillment By Amazon they will charge customers unless their order is over $25, and they will also charge you on the back end, roughly $2.50+ no matter how it is shipped. So you will need to build that into your pricing.

I have tons of Amazon experience, feel free to PM me if you have any questions, I'll help you as much as I can. I am currently working on putting together a consulting service for Amazon Sellers.

Finally! A decent, helpful thread on here with answers from real people with real knowledge. It's a breath of fresh air. :-)

Redsand, to confirm, the $2.50 charge is only for Fulfillment by Amazon, right, not a $2.50 "handling charge" for anything shipped on Amazon?

Is amazon prime really worth it? I noticed on a couple products that the prime price is just jacked up by the shipping amount. Is this widespread?
