Revamping my website

Hi, I have an existing website that was done by a vendor which I do not want to continue with. I m looking to revamp this, improve the keywords and have this site rank high up in google and other search engine.Would appreciate quotes and how long this would take.Thank you.

    So many factors.

    It depends on the competitiveness of the keywords, your diligence, etc.

    And all-in-all it ALSO depends on if Google changes its rules after all your effort has been put into your website.

    So long as you have a passion with your website and insource that passion with clear, original work with HIGH quality content - you'll be fine.

    It's a "how long is a piece of string" question. But it's become so much easier to create a site using great CMS like Joomla, WordPress or ecommerce carts like OpenCart and Magento. Then you have brilliant hosted solutions like Shopify...it really has become a realisitic proposition for someone with limited experience to do a good job of setting up a site that looks great, is SEO friendly and converts. But if you really don't have the time, give me a shout.

    As you have an existing website which you do not want to continue with and you want to revamp the existing one, also you want your site to rank high up in google -

    For this you need to mention your requirements like: existing website's URL, on which framework you want to build your website etc.

      I appreciate the many PMs and responds here on my post. Mainly there are two sides here.

      a. One side suggest for me to just redesign the home page and improve on the apperance and continue to use the site.Add a content page. Do just some basic SEO and use PPC to draw in immediate traffic.
      Quotes for this so far ranging from USD200 to USD500. I am not clear how to adopt an effective PPC program. I am hoping my coach would teach me but the first session did not last long enough to touch this subject. From what I read I can determine what I want to pay per click and limit my daily payout.

      b. The other side,suggest a total rebuild from scratch. Contract a Ranking Company and seriously work on moving the rank up.
      Quote for this range from USD500 to USD800 excluding SEO which on a monthly basis i seen prices from USD150 to USD1450 monthly.

      ( I was discourage to embark on a costly ranking exercise, I was advised that this may be dangerous and reckless )

      This website sell a niche and exciting product. I have on hand sufficient inventory to run an exciting invorigating and fast marketing campaign. I need someone that when they start the work with me,that can stay with me..if they cant do certain function, they outsource that but they need to stay on top of and help me to manage. On a day to day basis,I do not know enough to control all the aspect..and learning this would drag my present situation longer. I need to firm up and move!

      I am at the moment toss between options .... any advises.:confused:

      Maybe I should just hire a IM project Manager!

    It really does depend upon the niche, site age, current ranking, etc. to determine the amount of work it would take to make some moves in the search engines. With that being said, I began building and optimizing e-commerce sites just over two and a half years ago in some pretty competitive markets. To be honest, I knew absolutely nothing but wanted to learn so I just dove right in. Since then I have learned an immense amount and gained a far wider scope of knowledge than is limited to any single aspect of successful internet marketing (ie. seo, conversion, ppc, niche research, etc.) If you have the time, I recommend handling the planning, restructuring, and implementation by yourself with of course guidance from some more experienced persons. You can find a plethora of information and resource on this site and you will find many of the people on here are more than willing to help. Also many of the tasks you will need handled can be outsourced for relatively moderate prices and as you can see from the responses on this thread there are already many warriors who offer similar services. PM me your site and I will take a look and give you some basic ideas to think about.

      A quick update. I engaged a good brother from the forum here. Just after 3 days, the first sales came in about an hour ago. At this point of writing,I had 4 sales. I am excited from what I learnt in the forum here and the success we have now.
