Ebay like website, paying cash on delivery

Hello,

I would like to build a website inspired from ebay but where visitors, buyers will be paying cash on delivery or by arranging to meet.

This is already happening in the small African country where I am via a facebook and people meet to exchange goods by hands.

Any ideas are welcome

People should register to sale and to buy so that it would be possible to separate good buyers and sellers from bad ones, especially sellers.

      This is how Indian e-com sites work. But there's a lot of issues when you want to scale up. Logistics companies take a cash handling charge which in the long run will eat heavily into your margins.

    It is actually a good idea, but in at early stage. You should really brainstorm and consider all the aspects of before you even start working on it.

    I'm still waiting for an idea on the platform to use for the website.
    I noticed that people here are used to selling just by calling each other and arranging to meet.
    There have been some complain but you get those even on ebay.
