Hey Everyone! Hope you are all having a fantastic day so far!

For me personally, e-Commerce has always been quite appealing and I have finally decided to give it a go. The thought of running an online store is really getting me excited, I feel that since the range of tasks required are quite diverse, I doubt I will get bored easily.

I have been studying this section of the Forum in great depth recently, trying not to loose all my focus And after gaining quite a lot of knowledge I am in search of a favour from you! If you could state one thing you have learnt through e-Commerce, weather it be traffic related, design related or even dealing with Wholesalers/Dropshipper related. Just mention anything you wish you had known when you first started out!

What would it be?

Really looking forward to see what everyone has to say!

    Hi,

    I built my first shop some 3 years ago - with dropshipping products at the time. And honestly the two things I knew nothing about but that are in fact the basis of everything, are competition and traffic generation! If you don't know what you're walking into (i.e. your competition and your target audience) and how to get noticed (so, generating traffic) you're going to work A LOT and get poor results. Notice I said "my first shop"... That one didn't survive for more than a year, neither did the second one.
    I've just opened a new one with a completely different offer and different objectives, I'm hoping to do better this time.
