My friend, Tim Shi, has been doing eCommerce since he was 16, now being 24. He has done the eBay business, and has went through struggle such as eBay suspensions, Paypal limitations, drop shipping frustrations, etc.

He is currently successful and makes webinars time to time and has a very high quality list that he built with care. He is a friendly guy that is only looking to deliver high quality content to anyone looking at his content.

Anyways, he created a site:
Activity Stream - eCommerce Forums - Kick Start Your Online Business!

He isn't looking for money, he is just looking for participation, and for everyone to interact in everyone's interest of field.

The site was made just solely for the people who wish to do eCommerce 1 week ago - Drop-Shipping, Wholesale, etc. You can become freelancers, sell your services, products, etc. All in all, I just want everyone to check it out because I know my friend can give you guys legit content. He is already posting daily content in the articles tab and will provide great tips!

It'd be awesome if you guys can check it out and give any advice!

  • So I watched your entire video 50 minute video.

I went through all of the common mistakes, the tips, the tricks, (because I tend to review a of eBay products since I have a lot of experience on eBay myself, and I have, myself an eBay product that I have taught for years)

I am going to be honest with your 'friends' product here.

One of the most important aspect of eBay profitability was completely glossed over, and was clearly misunderstood.

In addition, there is no reason, no reason at all to ever be suspended.

People who get suspended pretty much aren't selling on eBay correctly in the first place. There is no reason to not do it 'legitimately' from the beginning.

Perhaps one of the most dangerous things I saw from the video was the comparison from the 'completed listings' in the 'most recent sales' to the 'how much you get it for' over-generalization.

If you were to compare 'how much you get it for' versus 'how much some guy sold it for yesterday' and subtracted the two, that is NOT how much you make on the item to research the 'profitability. In fact, that is how a LOT of people chose niches and lose faith in eBay quickly, when it is an INCREDIBLE marketplace to make a lot of money.

There are eBay fees, Paypal fees, and shipping fees (for example) that haven't even been taken into consideration if you're just running that data set.

Not only that, but you never want to sell at an AVERAGE price the item is selling for.

You want to sell at the BEST price you can sell it for!

A great principle of business is to maximize profit. And if you can sell an item at an APPROPRIATE price to the MARKET, then you're fine.

A misnomer for many people is that you need to 'lower your price on eBay to make money'.

Not the case. You just need to sell it at an APPROPRIATE historical price - based on the 'smartest kids in class'. After all, if I can do what the smartest kid in class did, I can replicate their result.

(eBay's default ranking is NOT 'price plus shipping LOWEST first. It's 'BEST MATCH)

So, the secret is RANKING higher to sell for higher prices.

You don't have to be the LOWER price. You just have to sell it the BEST.

So, don't sell it for what the guy sold it yesterday for. Sell it for the best price, the best format, and attract the most traffic. AND KNOW WHAT YOUR DEDUCTIONS ARE to the ACTUAL market worth.

And it never matters what the product is - so long as it is profitable and LEGAL to sell.

And you'll never have a suspended account, so long as you follow the rules and do it legitimately.
