Squarespace eCommerce

Has anyone tried building an eCommerce site using Squarespace? They recently announced this huge feature: Squarespace Commerce is Here — The Official Squarespace Blog

I say "huge" because eCommerce support is something Squarespace customers have been requesting for years now. I currently use WordPress for my Amazon affiliate website, but I am interested in trying Squarespace for another niche.

So, thoughts? Yay or nay?

It depends... Is it 1, 2 or 3 products? Then it might be worthwhile but then again, if you are comfortable with wordpress, why not stick with it.

If you are looking at a full store, I still think you are better off using a hosted cart. Squarespace charges an extra 24 bucks a month for the ecommerce with limited options. You can do Shopify or BigCommerce for the same or less and get a full established shopping cart solution.

    Just my thoughts.

Agreed. I'm definitely very happy with using WordPress and WP Zon Builder. As for the actual niche, I'm still not sure. My current store sells a wide variety of tech products, which does fairly well. I am looking to narrow things down with this second niche.

Seconded. The other thing to note is that going this route will likely have you faring better in terms of reliability, scalability, functionality, and support.
