Finding your products or niche

So I was listing to a fellow on the web yeaterday, and his pitch was you got to find products to import from China that are high demand, low cost from the manufacturer, and high mark up. Something you can get for $1 and sell for $5-10. Then they need to be lite so I can get them by air.

I got to say that in all the hours I have spent on Alibaba, Chinavasion etc, I have never found anything like that.

Where the hell do I find things like that?

    ha-ha... Not so easy.

    Everyone that wants to sell online is doing the same thing, and China has realized this. So they have raised their pricing on things, and its no more competitive enough. China's cost of living is way higher then it was 10 years ago.

    Look in India, and Pakistan.

    i have been looking for the same things for days now with no luck, I found cell phone accessories, but that is already all over the net for cheap.
