Any help here would be appreciated...I have put together my site on Dreamweaver and saved my main page as index.html. When using Prosper202 to track multple offers they want the additional pages saved as .PHP. Does the index page also have to be saved as .PHP? Whats the difference whether using .html vs .php?

Your best bet would be to ask this in the programming section of the warrior forum.

But the difference being one (PHP) is a scripting (programming) language, and the other (HTML) is a web language. PHP makes your site dynamic where HTML tends to be more static pages. As an example, Facebook is done in PHP since it is constantly updating information. Shopping carts are done in scripting language since content needs to be dynamic and be updated.

Unless you build your site with scripting in mind I fear you will have major issues. Dreamweaver does support PHP I believe but I have never played with it. I just stick with Wordpress.

Just rename your page from index.html to index.php. There is no issue in changing the file name regardless of whether your page includes php or not.

  Rhys is 100% correct... If your site is hosted on a Linux server with Apache, which is the most common web hosting, index.php and index.html will both work. The php page can have a mixture of HMTL, php, and even javascript code... QED.

The default pages are listed in order: index.php, index.html, index.htm, default.htm, etc
Be sure to only use one!
