Amazon and Bookmarking Question

Many gift registry services are using this model and I'm not a techie so am trying to figure out how this would work.

If I have a bookmarking tool on my site that allows users to go to any other site and bookmark an item (using the bookmarking tool I provided) and that item is then added to a master list on my site, will I still get the affiliate commission?

When the item is added to the master list on my site does it some how automatically attach my affiliate ID so when the item is purchased from the master list I am credited for it?

Any insight to how this works would be greatly appreciated!

    I think you would need to add some kind of script server side but it is possible. I am not a programmer so that is all I can say.
