Would you hire a warrior for your SEO
Serious question for those w ecommerce sites.
Over the years I have done several things from:
1- hiring a one-man SEO person, which was very effective, but expensive
2- hiring someone who worked for an SEO firm full time, but took clients as a freelancer, which was not as effective
3- hiring a company, which was okay, and was (transparently) having workers in the Philippines do the work
4- hiring American SEOs
5- hiring overseas SEOs (not reliable, IMO)
6- doing it myself, which is fine, I just have limited time to focus on it
I've thought about hiring someone in the Philippines (I have other PH based employees) and teaching them how to do it right (because most have learned techniques that can be detrimental to ecommerce websites) but I straddle between just hiring a service and bringing somebody onboard.
The caveat is as you know, ecommerce is tricky because you can't "afford" someone using techniques that will bring forth a penalty.
