Can I Use Magento to Create an Amazon Clone?

Hi guys,

I 'd like to create an ecommerce site where retailers and wholesalers can come and register their products to sell online just like Amazon does. I have just started using Magento; but I haven't been able to figure out how to enable sellers to create account and upload products.

If this is not possible with Magento, what alternatives do I have? Thanks.

Magento would be the only option actually.

however, you will need an extension for that. and it will be pricey The only one that's worth your time is uMarketplace Suite :: Unirgy :: The Premiere Magento Extension Company.

If you want the whole shebang it will run about $5k.
