Out of curiosity....

Say someone had say, 60 or so up and running ecommerce sites. Fully setup and configured, stocked with dropship items, many of them already had PR, backlinks and mild traffic, your customers service emails and phone calls are directed directly to the dropshipper, and all you needed to do was add YOUR payment methods so sales go into your account, then send traffic to it.

You pay nothing other than the rental fee, and your merchant account fee.

Is this something people may be interested in?

      Me personally... No.

However, there may very well be a market for this. Especially people new to online business.

I'd be very interested in this. You are essentially handing over a turn key. You could even rent it out for a fee and a small percentage. Essentially franchising in a way.

Why would I rent a store to you for only rent. I could just keep it going and keep all the profit.

And, if I did rent a store to someone then rent might go up with traffic and sales.

Just like if you rent a brick and mortar, for whatever reason, the "site" becomes desirable, when the lease is up the rent goes up, and when the lease is up I might be looking at renters that are willing to pay more. Then you get an "Eviction" notice.

And, as a renter, I would have no control over hosting or domain registration. what happens if the landlord defaults and your store is out of business and there is nothing you can do.

I would never get involved in this on either side.
