Commercial Autoresponder or Plugin for WP

I' searching for a good autoresponder service and I'm wondering if there are any warrior who can tell me if there really is a technical difference using an autoresponder like Aweber and autoresponder plugins that can be used within WordPress ? Which one to choose for a serious online business ?

    Main technical difference... if you use a a service such as Aweber, the e-mails are sent from their servers... if you use a plug-in, the e-mails will be sent from your website.

    There are many other differences such as: subscription fee, delivery rate, template builders, polls, etc.

    Yes, using a third-party auto responder service is much 'safer'.

    Sending email through your own website hosting is not the best option. Firstly, your host might become concerned about large amounts of email being sent through your account & shut it down.

    Also, even if you do everything right & don't spam people someone's bound to forget that they signed up for your list :rolleyes: or not understand what spam really is & wrongly report you for spamming them. This can result in poor email deliverability & issues with your host.

    Definitely go with one of the bigger auto responder services...best of luck with it .
