Average cost of hosting website/250 articles

Hi All,

As I mentioned earlier, I am new to this.

Someone from the Warrior forum recommended a particular company to help me with articles and posting on website (I have zero articles).

The said company quoted $3000 which includes 1) 250 articles 2) traffic 3) google ranking optimization

They seem to have a lot of reputation in the free lance world.

Since I am new to this and have no clue as to what others are paying for a similar service (or would expect to pay)...I wanted to find if this is usual for people to spend? 3k sorta seems like considerable amount?

any thoughts/alternatives please

    Start off with a good quality web host & not one that claims to give you unlimited this & that as there's no such thing.

    I'm not sure what the $3000 is for, I assume the site and what not. You'd most likely be fine with a decent shared plan with a company that doesn't overload their servers.

      I already have hosted the site (just the welcome page) on bluehost (name registered with namecheap.com)

      This service is supposed to give me 250 articles/traffic/SEO etc., I guess....

    It highly depends as there's a wide range of options base on the specs you're looking for.

    However if we're looking at the General assumptions:

    Articles - $0.01/word (not the best rate but that's a general you'll find)
    Therefore assuming 250 articles @ 500 words = $5(250) = $1250

    Web hosting - Shared web hosting would be around $5/month for a reasonable good host (Ex. Hostgatory baby plan, Stable host, Namecheap)

    you likely won't need a VPS until you get some good traffic later

    SEO - This is really selective. There are companies offering packages starting at $27 to monthly SEO plans in the $XXXX. Commonly you can find good service around mid-low $xxx/month

    The deal is probably relatively reasonable for a all-in-one solution although you can surely go lower.
