I'm sure this is obvious, but I'm just trialling woocommerce for the first time for a website that only sells one product. I installed a free the mystile theme from woocommerce but it doesn't seem to have any commerce features on the backend.

Up until now I've only ever used shopify where all the functions for adding and managing products are really obvious. Do I have to add these features with plugins?

At the moment I just have a standard paypal lite button but I would like to be able to manage the checkout process better with shipping and handling features integrated.

    Did you install both the Mystile theme and the WooCommerce plugin? The plugin has all of the back end features you need

    Hi Jimmy,

    WooCommerce for a one-item store seems like a bit of an overkill - have you considered some of the easier to maintain alternatives like simple PayPal buttons? I only ever install WooCommerce if there's a good reason to do so. Keeps life simple

      Woocommerce is fine for one product, doesn't take much to set the plugin up, Just set your shop or buy page to that product in you menu area. You may need to enable screen options to see products menu.

    Hi Dee,

    We originally went with a paypal button, but we wanted to set up shipping calculations, also the layout of the commerce plugin looks great, with image slide show and shopping cart etc.

    Only thing that seems odd is the white space next to the shop and products page where the side bar widgets normally are... I'm guessing that's where you'd normally have the navigation of categories? Since there are no categories I guess I'm gonna have to figure out how to keep the homepage sidebar widgets there as it looks a bit weird.

      This is why you set your shop page to go straight to the product, skip the catalog. You can do this in your WP Menu screen. Anywhere you have a buy button just link it directly to your product. You may still want to have some stuff on the product page sidebar though.

      OR

      You can change this CSS code

      #main {
      width: 99%;

      }

      that will make the product take up the whol space if you do not want to use a sidebar.

      One more thing, add some of your product description to the top section
