Hi

I have recently completed a website with help of a Warrior. Now that the site is ready I need to market it - not sure if there are any resources to do this?

Do you personally recommend any particular provider who is GOOD at SEO/marketing/ranking?

Not to mention, I am new to this and don't want to invest a lot at this stage of the project - someone who can get the site to page 1-3 of Google for at least 10 key words...

Please recommend Warriors who you have used AND got good results

You are very wise to seek out referrals. Remember in SEO there are often many ways to reach your desired result.

If you are new it may be hard for you to articulate specific goals. But, being clear on your desired outcome is step one with any service provider.

        Best of luck.

I've read before that 80% of SEO services are a complete scam, that being said I strongly agree that you are wise to seek legitimate referrals.

The best person to do SEO in your project is you, because SEO basically means promotion of your content getting backlinks while doing so, nobody knows your business better than you do.

Completely disagree. That's like saying the best person to perform your root canal is you because you know your mouth the best...

SEO is a legitmate skillset, and therefore can be contracted out. The best person to do your SEO is one that has mastered it, does a good amount of volume and can pass the savings on to you, while you focus on running your business, not link building and social network signals.

Completely Agree. Even if you are new at SEO, the only way you will learn is by doing it yourself. You can even hire someone but it should be more of a collaborative effort, them showing you exactly what they are doing, and why they are doing it. You don't want a situation where someone is spamming your website with fiver links.

Only you understand your keywords and your audience, believe me it took me a while to get this. After spending so much money on outsourcing to people, when I could do it even better myself. And I did do it better myself.

How about telling us what cart you are using, what your budget is, etc. If you tell me wordpress, it limits some of the free resources to send you to, but if its a cart then we can talk about a variety of ways, both free and paid to drive traffic. Remember, "SEO" is just one aspect of ecommerce.

  • Here's the best service to use for SEO:

    YOURSELF!

You have the control, you have the knowledge, and you know what to do, essentially.

Additionally, Google actively seeks out the 'short cuts' and wants to get rid of them in the first place.

I'm not saying all marketers are bad, but Internet Marketing companies are essentially trying to make it 'easy' by finding a loophole that makes it easy for you.

However, Matt Cutts and Google in general is ALWAYS going after 'paid links' and 'paid services' because it just inundates one thing, over and over, and that looks to suspicious.

All Google wants to see is 'NATURAL' marketing. So, how do you naturally market? Well, you don't pay anyway. Simple as that.

Here's my take on it. If you have a great product - a truly great product. You will instinctively know how to sell it in an equally great way. People will be at your website, and stay a while. They won't have foreign, outsourced content to weed through, and they will opt in like crazy.

You will WANT to market your site, and people will WANT to buy from your site.

The marketing will be easy, as people will NATURALLY market it for you.

I have never hired anyone to market my site, nor will I ever. I enjoy an 18-25% conversion rate, and a 14 minute average time on site. It is a very engaging site.

With my newest website, traffic is steadily increasing from about 16 people a day 5 months ago to 100 people a day today.

Sales went from 1 a week 5 months ago to about 1-3 a day today. Doing what I'm doing will eventually get it to 5 sales a day, which will be $100k net sales per year, within two years.

I never, ever short-cut things as that is a recipe for destroying a website but you HAVE to be patient.

    I agree.

Auctiondebt... to be fair, you are a pure internet marketer even though you do a lot of your internet marketing through retail. You have a few info products, coaching and you're active on an INTERNET MARKETING forum.

Most ecommerce retailers are not like that, thus they actually are NOT the best person to do SEO for their websites. Some get into it with NO skill and have to totally rely on others, and some get into it with other skills.

I have a friend I'm helping re-launch her online store and no freaking way in heck she is the best person to do her own SEO. She knows that product and market like the back of her hand, but they manufacture that product in-house. Her skillset is managing production and wholesale distribution.

I think it does a disservice to people to expect people to develop competencies that may be outside of their wheelhouse. If the original poster wants to become a kick butt internet marketer, then hunker down and learn SEO and dedicate yourself to it.
