I was asking about eBay ProStores and didn't get much feedback, so although I am very new to e-commerce I am going to do my best to review the platform so in the future anyone looking for info on ProStores can find this.

I currently already have a eBay store, upon initial registration ProStores automatically linked my eBay store and uploaded all my products/inventory to the site. With the transfer of my inventory to ProStores, my current eBay store categories were imported as well. My initial impression is that the platform seems identical to an eBay store just external to eBay.

I will edit/update this review as I proceed with use.

Gave customer service a call for the first time with a very simple question, they picked up quickly and answered my question so can't criticize the service, but I am already running into issues limiting customization of categories.

One of the main drivers behind my interest in ProStores was the ability to use "Checkout Redirect" from our eBay store. While I found instructions on eBay's site on how to set it up, I did not see the options in my account settings. After a brief phone call to customer service it was revealed that eBay had eliminated this feature. Without checkout redirect I question weather there is any reason to use ProStores at all.

Prostores is the step child of eBay that gets no love. They get no budget, don't do any development and last time I checked (this could have changed) they were being hosted in a data center in a hurricane zone with zero redundancy.

With PayPal owning Magento I doubt they will be getting any more love. I think its easy for eBay'ers because yes, it looks like an eBay store but there are better platforms IMHO. That being said, I have heard much better CS stories with them compared to Magento Go...
