Anybody is using it on regular website (not Amazon store)?
I am thinking to add Amazon payment method to credit cards and PayPal.
So far it's not clear even if I can do it without SSN (non-Amarican resident but I have EIN though for my US business).
Also need to purchase an extension for my OpenCart based store.
So my question is - is it worth it?
thx

Good point. Why do you think Amazon checkout may turn off some customers? I meant to have as an addition to PayPal and cc methods. I heard that Amazon is doing crosselling and upselling during checkout. That would be bad for conversion rate.
What about case when I sell on Amazon and don't have buy box? So customers are coming to my site from Amazon. Would their checkout be beneficiary in this case?

I agree with lastreporter. From the consumers point of view, they are using a credit card to check out. They don't care if it's amazon, paypal, etc. as long as it's simple, secure and they don't have to be a member to complete a purchase. Anything more than 3 options just confuses a consumer and makes them abandon cart.

I am VERY reluctant to give Amazon any data about my sales. Amazon is famous for using this data for their own advantage. They frequently see which items are selling well and then undercut their "partners" to sell the item for a lower price. No thanks!

Disagree. First off all - you don't need a credit card when checkout by paypal or amazon (if you have an account). You may not even have a credit card at all with paypal if it's connected to bank account.
I prefer paypal for small purchases and when paying for service because it's much easier to get a refund from paypal if something goes wrong.
A lot of people these days use Amazon and have account there. Almost 30% of all online purchases goes through Amazon according to some sources. So trust factor is high in this case.
