Shipping items through eBay

Hello everyone,

How do I know in advance how much it would cost to ship an item through eBay?

Also, supposedly I sell multiple items through eBay, how does it work when it comes to shipping them? Does it include frequent trips to the post office, shipping one item at a time or what?

On a side note, I see that I could no longer access my old eBay account? Do they close them these days due inactivity or something? Should I just open up a new account or what?

Thanks!

They don't commonly close old eBay accounts, I suggest doing what you can to find that account because you may have issues in linked accounts.

PayPal MultiOrder shipping makes printing labels and such a pretty easy process, and you can get free USPS pick up.

  • What does this phrase mean?

"how much it would cost to ship an item through eBay?"

eBay isn't a shipping courier. It's a platform to sell products, and you'd ship via UPS, FedEx, USPS, or other popular couriers.

Silas is correct about your eBay account, though. You still have it. And you wouldn't want to open another one, because many times it is hard to do if you haven't move physical addresses.

Plus, they DO give preferential treatment to older accounts, so it would behoove you to get your old account back.

Even in that case, how would I know in advance how much it would cost to ship an item sold through eBay via UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc?

      Thanks again!

  • You can use their onsite shipping calculators on the courier's websites. All have them.

Basically you'll just need to know the weights.

Don't know the weight? Easy - just Google the items + shipping weight - more than likely the item will be there with the shipping weight in hand.
