Im setting up a e com channel for work, we already have a merchant account. I was going to use authorize.net as a gateway, but before I sign up is there any reason not to use them? If so, what would be a better choice?

No, not really. It's a pretty straight forward system with no "pitfalls" that I've found in the 12-13? years of using them.

I have also used them for over 10 years and have had no problems what so ever.

Would you recommend it over other solutions such as Paypal Website payments? I've been unsure of which solution to use for my ecommerce website since the fees are all similar.

Authorize.net is what my company uses for their gateway services and, to date, we have had no issues with them. They are a solid company.

Authorize.net is great, most of all it's very stable and reliable, some companies i know or work with are using them for 5-10+ years with not a single issue. In the past their prices were a little bit higher than other gateways, may be it's not the case anymore, but anyways, it's well worth it. And of course i for sure would recommend it over any PayPal solution, no matter what fees.

I represent a number of different A+ merchant account service providers. If you are considering merchant account options using authorize.net, I can assist with best fit service provider and best pricing based on your business profile.

I provide my clients with least cost Interchange Plus pricing, no setup fees, no junk fees, and month-to-month service with no cancellation fee.

I can also help with high risk merchant accounts, including offshore service.
